BVM&S DVM&S CertCHP DSHP DipECBHM DipECSRHM FRCVS Image Reader in Farm Animal Practice Phil Scott has 34 years' experience of farm animal practice and presently works in the farm animal section. He is a European specialist in both small ruminant and cattle health and production. He was awarded a doctorate for studies on perinatal lamb mortality from the University of Edinburgh in 1993 and an FRCVS in 1994 for studies on Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). He has been a member of the Farm Animal Welfare Committee for the past six years. Teaching Phil is involved in lecturing in the Farm Animal Clinical Course in 4th year, and also teaches hands-on practical farm animal medicine and surgery in the Farm Animal Teaching Hospital to students in the 3rd, 4th and Final year of the undergraduate veterinary course.
