She is a UK (RCVS), European veterinary specialist in veterinary public health & population medicine, and EPIC Director of Policy and Impact. Professor Boden leads a programme of One Health research in fragile and conflict affected regions to improve preparedness and timely response to global health, environment and food security threats. Laura Higham, BVM&S MSc MRCVSLaura is a PhD student at the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems, and a veterinary consultant at FAI, supporting food businesses in sustainability policy, standards, and research. As part of an Edinburgh Earth Initiative Fellowship in 2023, Laura explored opportunities to integrate regenerative approaches into the University of Edinburgh’s food services. She is also the founder and a director of Vet Sustain, a UK not-for-profit social enterprise aiming to inspire and enable veterinary professionals to drive sustainability through their work. Dr Alex CorbishleyAlex started working as a lecturer at the R(D)SVS in 2015 and now divides his time between clinical and teaching responsibilities in the Farm Animal Division and research in population health. He has a particular interest in zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, immunology/vaccinology and metabolic status. Prof Scott PirieScott, an equine internal medicine clinician at the Dick Vet Equine Hospital, is Chair of Equine Clinical Sciences and current Academic Head of the School's Equine Division. As well as his clinical role, Scott is actively involved in both research (with a primary focus on equine pulmonology) and teaching. Saxon CowleyFinal year vet student and current president of the University of Edinburgh One Health Society, Dick Vet Veterinary Public Health representative and advocate for interdisciplinary solutions to complex threats to One Health. Dr. Glen CousquerGlen Cousquer is a Veterinary Surgeon, and an interdisciplinary Lecturer in One Health and Conservation Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. Glen's interests cover a number of subject areas including deep ecology, environmental education, awareness-based systems change, human-animal relations, ecological approaches to veterinary medicine, One Health approaches to animal welfare and wild animal medicine, wildlife and birds.
