Pathophysiology of disease

Exploring the mechanisms and consequences of important veterinary diseases.

We are exploring the mechanisms and consequences of important veterinary diseases using our expertise in areas such as stem-cell technologies, genetics and pathological and molecular phenotyping.

Emphasis is placed on cardiorespiratory, hepatic, orthopaedic and gastrointestinal disorders with a strategic interest in oncology and antimicrobial resistance. We also collate and interrogate datasets from large patient cohorts with the ambition of developing a richer understanding of disease biology.
