Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are online short courses offered by universities. MOOCs are designed to offer an introduction to a subject. In July 2012 the University of Edinburgh joined the Coursera consortium. Coursera offers short online courses, called Massive Open Online Courses or MOOCs. They are presented by top universities and in a range of subjects.The Dick Vet was one of the first schools within the University to offer a MOOC, and now offers several MOOCs:*we collaborated on the content of this MOOC, hosted by University of Nottingham.
