Dick Vet Tops Guardian University Guide for Fourth Year

The Dick Vet has come top of the Guardian University Guide 2021: league table for veterinary science for the fourth year running.

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies has come top of the Guardian University Guide 2021: league table for veterinary science for the fourth year in a row. This fantastic accomplishment was reflected in the high scores in teaching satisfaction and course satisfaction, with the School leading the way in both. 

The Guardian Guide differentiates itself from other university guides, by aiming specifically at students who are trying to choose a course. It ranks universities and programmes on the areas that are most important to young people, such as how much they will benefit from teaching, the opinion of current students and their chances in the job market after graduation.

Consistent Recognition

The School has excelled in recent league tables, placing second in the world and top in the UK in the most recent ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020 - Veterinary Sciences.

In the most recent Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide ranking for Veterinary Medicine 2021 the School also came first, for the sixth year running.

Our world-class research is based in the Roslin Institute and in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF), veterinary and agricultural research at the University of Edinburgh and Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) was ranked as the most powerful in the UK.
