The Chancellor's Awards recognise innovation, relevance, creativity, personal dedication and impact in teaching and research. They do this through four awards, for teaching, research, impact and the rising star award.

With the Chancellor’s Award for Teaching, the University seeks to honour a colleague who has recently enhanced the teaching reputation of the University, through a significant contribution to improving or invigorating student learning at any level.

This year, the Award for Teaching was given to Dr Jessie Paterson, Lecturer in Student Learning, here at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.

This highly prestigious award recognises her passion for teaching and her innovative learning methods, especially the peer assisted learning scheme.
