Development of models for animal and human disorders. We are validating spontaneous animal diseases, which we routinely diagnose and treat in our large veterinary hospitals, as models of important human diseases. This provides a research platform which integrates studies into disease mechanisms, novel biomarkers, and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and supports the One Medicine strategy of the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine.
