At the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies we conduct research into squirrel health and genomics and conduct post-mortem examinations on red squirrels for the purpose of disease surveillance.

We have expertise in disease risk analysis (health risk analysis) and disease management for wildlife translocations.

We have been conducting research into trypanosomiasis in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia since 2004.

We have had long-term involvement in the conservation of Eurasian beavers in Scotland and work to safeguard their health and welfare.

Our team provides clinical support and advice for a range of deer research projects, primarily for red deer but also other species.
