Image The 2019 Edinburgh University Student Union (EUSA) Teaching Awards have proven successful for the Dick Vet. Teaching lies at the heart of the university experience, and the EUSA Teaching Awards to celebrate the best of the teaching on offer at the University of Edinburgh. The Teaching Awards allow students to nominate an outstanding teaching experience and thank academic and support staff who have truly impacted them this year. The awards not only celebrate teachers, but also courses, research and dissertation supervisors and professional and administrative staff, in order to recognise everyone that deserves it. Outstanding Student Support The Dick Vet prides itself on the quality of our student welfare support and that has been reflected with a win for Mike Grieve, the School's Student Relationship Manager in the overall University award for ‘Best Support Staff.’ This is a fantastic achievement and we congratulate Mike for his continued hard work and dedication to providing the best possible support to all students. Exceptional Veterinary Teaching This year's winner of the award for teaching in veterinary sciences was Thalia Blacking, Lecturer in Applied Vet Physiology, who has also received recognition at past EUSA awards for the quality of her teaching. Runner up was Tom Beeston, from the School's Anaesthesia Service. Congratulations to everyone and thank you for the exceptional teaching and support you provide.
