Postgraduate Virtual Open Week 11-15 March 2019

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies Postgraduate Virtual Open Day is a great opportunity to learn more about continuing your Veterinary education at Masters level. Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about studying Masters and the support we provide you during your studies.

Through an online platform, Blackboard Collaborate, you can ask your questions and hear from our staff. There will be two sessions, one covering the Master of Science in Animal Biosciences, and The Master of Science in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare. They will also be recorded, so you can watch at a later date if you are unable to attend.

An Introduction to the MSc Animal Biosciences

Designed to introduce the Master of Science in Animal Biosciences here at Edinburgh University with the Programme Director, Dr Bob Dalziel answering any questions you have. This Masters programme gives graduates the scientific knowledge and practical skills to carry out research in the emerging area of animal science and "One Health", by providing foundation knowledge about the functioning of the animal body.

An Introduction to the MSc Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare

A session designed to introduce the Master of Science in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare here at Edinburgh University with the Programme Director, Dr Tamsin Coombs and Mrs Kirstin McIlvaney, Programme co-ordinator answering any questions you have. This programme has popular international appeal and is endorsed by many international organisations for its up-to-date understanding and application of the latest animal welfare methods and practices. The programme also provides students with an understanding of animal welfare that can be applied in animal research, management, care, production, inspection, assessment and preparation of legislation.

 

Our virtual open day session is designed to inform you about the study opportunities available, the support you can expect from us, and the experience of current students. Sessions include:
