One Health Series events for 2025. The One Health Series of events 2025 will mark One Health Day (3 November). This year, the programme includes keynote addresses from distinguished speakers, an art exhibition, and a seminar series showcasing activities from each of the 5 clusters in our new School Strategic Plan. Workshop: Pharmaceutical falsifications On 23 October, join us to learn about impacts in animal and human health, and potential contributions to antimicrobial resistances. This workshop will include speakers, Liam Morrison, Harriet Auty, Carla Perez Mon and Jess Mitchell, representing the 'biodiversity, conservation and ecosystem health' cluster. Seminar: Feeding the future On 28 October, Lindsay Jaacks and Cynthia Naydani will present a seminar introducing the Global Food Systems cluster and how you can get involved. Seminar and Showcase: Collaborating in animal health and welfare On 29 October, join Gerlinde Van De Walle for a seminar on collaborating in animal health and welfare, followed by a showcase, "From bench to barn: working with industry to develop a stem cell-based therapy for bovine mastitis." This seminar will be led by the Animal health and welfare cluster. One Health in the Clinics: Reducing environmental impact On 3 November, join Gudrun Schoeffmann and Rachel Nixon for a seminar on reducing environmental impact in clinical settings. This seminar will be led by the Collaboration, culture and community health cluster. One Health Policy Practice and Plans On 4 November, join us to explore policy practice and plans behind EPIC (Centre of Expertise on Animal Disease Outbreaks), the Easter Bush One Health policy lab, and wider social impact and engagement. One Health in the Clinics: Antibiotic resistance and prescribing On 5 November, join Jeanne Dennehy and Dr Tim Nuttall to learn about antibiotic resistance and prescribing in a clinical setting. This is a collaboration, culture and community health cluster seminar. The University’s Race Review – Lessons for a One Health Campus On 11 November, join Dr Omolabake Fakunle, Chancellor’s Fellow and Senior Lecturer, and member of the University of Edinburgh's Race Review panel, for a keynote presentation and discussion.
