A year of success has continued, as the Dick Vet has come top of the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide ranking for Veterinary Medicine, for the 5th year running! This is a wonderful acheivement and the School is delighted to have once again received this recognition for its dedication to world class teaching, research and clinical care.

Earlier in 2019 the School rose in the Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2019 - Veterinary Sciences, to fourth in the world. This made the Dick Vet the highest placed UK School in these rankings.

The School also placed top in the Guardian University Guide 2020: league table for veterinary science in the UK, for the third year in a row.

The Guardian Guide differentiates itself from other university guides, by aiming specifically at students who are trying to choose a course. It ranks universities and programmes on the areas that are most important to young people, such as how much they will benefit from teaching, the opinion of current students and their chances in the job market after graduation.

The School also had an impressive showing in the QS World Rankings, rising two places to sixth in the world.

Continued Student Satisfaction

The School prides itself on the excellent teaching and continuing support it provides to students and this has been reflected with our continued success in the latest National Student Survey (NSS) results.

Overall student satisfaction is at 96.4%, a result which is particularly pleasing, as it was achieved from a 93% student response rate.

For students who study on our Graduate Entry Programme, the results were even more impressive with 100% overall satisfaction.
