On 16th of October, in honour of World Food Day, join the One Health Field Network for a discussion and screening of the documentary, ‘With the Sickle and Songs’. The discussion will be led by Rami Magharbeh, Dr. Ann-Christin Zuntz and Afnan El-Gayar.

On 17 October, join us in G.01 from 13.00-14.00 for a panel discussion on how we grow a One Health campus at Easter Bush.

On 18th October, join us for a One Health Series Lightning Lecture with Dr Jess Mitchell to explore the One Health risks and benefits of wild swimming.

On 28th October, join Adrian Muwonge for a One Health Series Lightning Lecture where he will discuss, Drivers of Antimicrobial Use and Resistance in Uganda: Developing Resources for Future Research.

Join panellists on 29 October, for a discussion on antimicrobial resistance from a UK and US perspective, health implications and challenges faced with policy regulations surrounding antibiotic usage.

Join us on 1 November, as we explore One Health through the work of researchers, vets and scientists right here on Easter Bush Campus. Between 11.30 and 13.30 on the ground floor of The Roslin Institute building, attendees will have the opportunity to view posters and speak with the authors, while enjoying refreshments.

On 1 November, as part of a wider one health event series at the University of Edinburgh, Dr Guyo Malicha Roba, Head of the Jameel Observatory in Nairobi as well as colleagues and partners explore the health and resilience of drylands and pastoralist communities - in a One Health perspective.

On 4th November, join us for One Health Series Lightning Lectures with Associate Professor Johanne Stubbe Teglbjærg Kristensen and Professor Liza Rosenbaum Nielsen from the University of Copenhagen for a presentation on Paradoxes in Contemporary Approaches to Health, and Researcher Dilemmas in One Health. This is a two-part lecture with time for questions and discussion.

Drs Katie Beckmann, Neil Anderson and Gidona Goodman showcase their work on One Health and wildlife.

Join Dr Andrew Gardiner on 12th November for a look at the longer history of One Health, including Schwabe’s radical ideas for transforming the veterinary curriculum. The lecture will explore how these ideas fit today.

Join Prof Tim Aitman on 14th November to learn more about the One Health Genomics Edinburgh network which he founded. The network is now a vibrant community of over 600 researchers across the University.

Join Jo Williams and Rebekah Sullivan on 15 November, as they present a two-part lightning lecture with time for questions and discussion.

Join us for the Edinburgh Infectious Diseases Winter Lecture 2024.
This year, the lecture will be given by Professor Alison Holmes, Professor of Infectious Diseases and the Director of both the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Associated Infections and AMR and the Centre for Antimicrobial Optimisation (CAMO), at Imperial College London.
