Paws on Campus: A canine-facilitated programme for animal welfare and student mental health – Jo Williams

  • This talk will cover the co-production process used in creating Paws on Campus, which involved students, wellbeing staff and academics. We will also consider some early feedback and evaluation data, along with some challenges we have faced in implementing the programme

Exploring Joint Provision of Healthcare to Humans and Animals in Communities Experiencing Homelessness - Rebekah Sullivan

  • This talk will describe a practical application of One Health at ground level, exploring the feasibility and pitfalls of co-provision of healthcare to humans experiencing homelessness and the companion animals at their side. The presentation is based on a small multi-perspective study that used interviews with animal owners, veterinary and medical practitioners, and social care professionals to identify common themes for healthcare needs and challenges.
