The RDSVS VMED is a leader in educational research and development. Our work aims to enhance the practice, and understanding, of veterinary education for the benefit of our students, our faculty and the profession. AHE are an independent non-profit organisation committed to world-class teaching in higher education. We work in partnership with institutions and individuals in higher education supporting student success. We bring the sector together to collaborate, and share teaching strategies and practice. Their website includes pedagogical CPD opportunities and alternative routes to fellowship of the higher education academy.


The annual Veterinary Education Symposium – VetEd – was established by a group of enthusiastic veterinary educators working in vet schools in the UK and Dublin. The symposium takes place over two days during the summer. It rotates around the schools and aims to be an economical way for veterinary educators to share ideas and innovations for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate vets.
