The Centre facilitates deeper collaboration between a wide range of pathology professionals from across the University:

  • Medical and veterinary pathologists
  • Imaging and genomics experts
  • Medical, veterinary and biological researchers

Based at the University of Edinburgh's Easter Bush Campus, with virtual links throughout Edinburgh and beyond including partners in government laboratories, research institutes, universities and The Pathological Society, the Centre aims to:

  • Integrate traditional histopathology with modern investigative technologies and in-vivo imaging
  • Bring new insights to human and animal disease mechanisms
  • Generate new knowledge about disease biology
  • Improve diagnosis, prevention and management of human disease
  • Improve animal health through prevention and treatment of disease
  • Train the next generation of pathologists
