Having the correct study skills techniques is important to ensure that you make the most of your time at University. We recognise that students come with a whole range of experiences and backgrounds and, more importantly, all are individual in their needs. Students have to adapt to University teaching methods and students often find the methods they used before don't work for an online postgraduate degree. Therefore, we have a number of resources to help students. We also offer workshops and other events, such as live sessions, that present particular subjects and give students a chance to ask questions and get feedback. The University of Edinburgh Study Hub, curated by the Institute for Academic Development (IAD), offers lots of really useful resources to support students with all aspects of studying and time management and can be accessed here: https://www.ed.ac.uk/institute-academic-development/study-hub For students who feel they would benefit from more in-depth advice, you should reach out to your assigned Cohort Lead.
