Immigration Service

If you are an International applicant, we will support your application for a visa.

The University’s International Student Immigration Service provides professional advice and student support services to all non-UK students seeking to study at the University.

Services include delivering the University’s specialist Student Immigration Service, and a range of welfare and advisory services to support the international student community.

If you are an International applicant, the University will support your application for a visa.

International applicants who hold an unconditional firm offer of admission for the BVM&S programme at the University of Edinburgh with either a start date of August (4-year GEP) or September (5-year programme) will be issued with a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies). The CAS can be used to apply for a UK student visa. Further information and guidance will be sent to all unconditional firm offer holders in due course. Please note that the University will not begin to issue CAS's until May.

Up-to-date information about student visas and immigration is available through the Student Immigration and Welfare Service

If you require a visa you will need to apply for a Student Route Visa. This was previously called a Tier 4 Visa.
