Welcome to the Avian Immunology Research Group Meeting 2026. Here you’ll find everything you need to attend, participate in and engage with the symposium — from programme details and registration information to guidance on presentations and networking opportunities. It is a great pleasure for us to host the XVIIIth Avian Immunology Research Group (AIRG) meeting from 2-4 September 2026 at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh. We are especially pleased to bring AIRG back to Edinburgh, having previously hosted the meeting in 2012. Since then, the field has advanced enormously, and we are excited to once again provide a platform for researchers and colleagues from both academia and industry from across the world to come together, share ideas and shape the future direction of our community. This year’s programme reflects the strength and breadth of avian immunology. Sessions spanning innate and adaptive immunity, host–pathogen interactions and the microbiome will sit alongside discussions on genetic resistance, ecology and environment and emerging technologies and models. Together, these themes highlight the interdisciplinary nature of our field and create opportunities for new insights, collaborations and innovation.Beyond the science, we have also created space for connection and enjoyment. Our social events are designed to foster informal discussions, strengthen collaboration and ensure that your time in Edinburgh is as memorable as it is productive. We hope you find the meeting inspiring, engaging and enjoyable.Welcome to AIRG 2026Yours,AIRG 2026 Organising CommitteeKate Sutton, Samantha Sives and Taylor Hanford.
