Specificity and purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies Mouse antibody options are carried out within Roslin’s Biological Research Facility and hold a fully approved and operational Home Office project licence. Our protocols have been tested and proven. Immunogen can either be supplied by the visiting research group, or requirements can be discussed to have the immunogen produced by the Toolbox. Polyclonal antibodies Rabbit and sheep options are available as well as immunogens as described above. Specificity Screening for antibody specificity and use in specific applications can either be taken on by the visiting research group or carried out by Toolbox staff as required. Screening products, such as cell lines, can be developed and provided. A screening library of cell and tissue samples from a range of livestock species is available. Purification The Immunological Toolbox holds a number of hybridoma cell lines and can, subject to permissions and material transfer agreements as appropriate, grow and purify antibodies from these. Production, purification and labelling of antibodies from cell lines provided to the Toolbox by individual users is also available. This article was published on 2024-09-02
