Interim Director and Interim Head of School, Research & Innovation

Professor Mark Stevens provides leadership with regard to the Institute and is Personal Chair of Microbial Pathogenesis.

His research group focuses on animal and zoonotic diseases, as well as bacterial pathogenesis.

Deputy Director (Culture and Equality)

Professor Jayne Hope provides leadership in promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity at the Institute.

Professor Hope is Personal Chair of Immunology.

Her research group focuses on innate immune responses to Mycobacteria and other bovine pathogens.

Deputy Director (Fellowships)

Professor Liam Morrison will support Fellows across the Institute and School. 

With a strong focus on improving the Fellow experience, Liam plans to establish a Fellowship Committee and refine the development of Early Career Researchers. He aims to attract more future Fellows to the Easter Bush Campus and enhance our research direction and workplace culture.
