Alix Johnston

Research Technician

Alix joined the lab in late 2022. She is working with group B Streptococcus to identify important genes and pathways specific to the hyper-virulent ST-17 lineage.

Prior to joining the lab, Alix worked as a cell culture analyst in a biotech company developing a label free cell system for cell analysis. She completed her MSc in Developmental Biology at The University of Edinburgh identifying candidate protein interactants of Netrin-1, an essential protein for optic fissure closure during eye development.
