Visiting MSc student Completed her MSc in Applied Statistics Image Research at the Highlander Lab I am working on spatial modelling in the Bayesian framework to improve genetic evaluation in breeding programmes. Goals: Use spatial information to capture spatial variance and improve the estimation of breeding values Compare different regional and geostatistical models Implement spatial models in breeding-specific software Background I am an MSc student in Biotechnology and an MSc student in Applied Statistics at the University of Ljubljana. After having completed a BSc in Biotechnology, I decided to continue my studies in the field of biotechnology, while also expanding my knowledge in statistics. I am specifically interested in: Statistical (spatial) modelling Quantitative genetics Genomics Systems biology approaches Programming language and software: R and Rstudio LaTeX and Markdown Basics of BLUPF90 family Bash shell scripting Hobbies and personal interests (Team) sports I am always up for a game of volleyball, lacrosse, or any other combination of moving my body and socializing. I also enjoy various other sports, such as running, swimming, yoga, or trying something new.
