PhD Student Hanne completed her MSc in biochemistry at University College London before joining the LBEP group via the Hosts, Pathogens, and Global Health PhD programme. Before joining the lab for her full PhD, she completed a rotation project generating bacterial mutants to investigate the role of the S. aureus collagen adhesin in disease. Her research will further characterise these mutants. Hanne has a keen interest in the microbiome, and will also be investigating how nasal microbes interact with S. aureus in two host niches as part of her PhD project.
