The Virology division works, in collaboration with members across the institute, nationally and internationally, on viruses of global importance that impact the health of farmed animals and humans. We focus on one health research with the goal of advancing scientific knowledge and innovation, improving animal health and welfare, enhancing food security and addressing global challenges related to viral disease. Infectious Diseases The Division’s interests include host-virus interactions at scales from cells to target animals, viral evolution, epidemiology and transmission (including predicting zoonotic risk and virulence), the basis of viral tropism and pathogenesis, and the genetic and immunological basis of host resistance to viruses. host-virus interactions viral evolution epidemiology and transmission basis of viral tropism and pathogenesis genetic and immunological basis of host resistance HTML Learn more about our Challenge Themes Sustainable Agriculture Infectious Diseases Enhancing Health Systems Virology Group The Grey lab is focused on using systems biology approaches to explore the biology of host-pathogen interactions This article was published on 2024-09-02
