The Roslin Institute Public Engagement Strategy is aligned with the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Public Engagement Strategy and the University of Edinburgh's Community Plan 2020-2025, and is delivered via the Roslin Institute Public Engagement with Research (PER) Programme.

Our PER Programme is led by the Roslin Institute's team of engagement and education specialists, and developed with and supported by our research and technical staff, and postgraduate students. Our core PER activities are directly linked to the science in our Institute Strategic Programmes, funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council

Our priority audiences for the 2023-28 PER Programme are those in areas of socio-economic deprivation and/or rural isolation.

PER Programme activities are delivered on campus at the Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre, in our local community and at a range of locations in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
