MScR Liam Stiller is a masters student in the Infectious Disease Research program. Liam’s current project is the construction of transposon libraries in staphylococcal species. Before coming to the University of Edinburgh Liam was a microbiologist II at the Public Health Laboratory of Delaware in the United States. At the public health lab Liam worked with the Genomic Sequencing Surveillance group which used various sequencing platforms to monitor the spread of infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance within the state of Delaware.After graduating from the University of Edinburgh Liam hopes to enroll in a PhD program and eventually have a career in global public health.
