Teaching and engagement

We contribute to courses, workshops and textbooks relating to quantitative genetics and breeding

Resources

We are helping to design and deliver a new online postgraduate programme.  The first cohort of students begin September 2025.

This text book is suitable for graduate and postgraduate students, researchers and lecturers of animal breeding, genetics and genomics and provides a thorough grounding in both the basics and in new developments of linear models and animal genetics. Ivan Pocrnić is a coauthor on this book and has provided all examples in R.

Public engagement

Ivan Pocrnić and Chrissy Rochus attended and presented their research on the use of genomics in small livestock populations.

An interview with Ivan on how he applies his skills to support breeders and farmers in managing their livestock, squeezing his data until it tells him what he wants to know, and the challenges and opportunities in his field.
