Research Fellow Sara is a postdoc that joined LBEP in April of 2025 to become part of a longitudinal Scottish One Health Project, where a number of livestock farms and their vicinity are being sampled. She’ll be heavily involved in the processing and analyses of these samples with the aim of characterizing the microbial composition, resistome and drivers of AMR. Prior to joining LBEP, she completed an industrial PhD in Copenhagen based in cmbio (then Clinical Microbiomics A/S) and in affiliation with the Technical University of Denmark. Her thesis was on Deriving strain- and species-level insights from human metagenomic data. In her free time, she’s probably initiating yet another hobby.
