A healthy lifestyle is encouraged, and to make it easier the Institute's Campus home has a cycle friendly award. Image The Campus has worked with the University’s Transport Office to implement a campus travel plan aimed at reducing the use of private cars to access Easter Bush Campus. This includes subsidising public transport services and encouraging cycling by providing high quality covered and secure cycle storage areas, access to shower and changing facilities, cycle repair kits along with regular visits from Edinburgh Bike Station’s “Dr Bike” to advise staff and students on cycle use and undertake simple maintenance. The Campus achieved a “Cycle Friendly Employer” award from Cycling Scotland in March 2012.
