PhD Student Josh joined the Lynskey lab in September 2021 as a PhD student. His project focuses on prophage induction and virulence gene regulation in Group A streptococcus. Previously to joining the Lynskey lab Josh completed his Undergraduate degree at the University of East Anglia, following which he worked in industry for 2 years on developing a genome editing induce gene silencing model within tomato plants. Following this industry experience Josh completed a MRes at the University of York looking at the utilisation of phage therapy as an agricultural tool.
