The consortium's annual meeting will help drive progress and collaboration in 2020 and beyond. 29/01/202020 is off to a strong start after the Roslin Institute hosted AquaLeap project’s annual meeting on the 29th of January. AquaLeap is a collaborative effort, spanning both the academic and industry spheres, with a mission to improve genetics and breeding for four UK aquaculture sectors: salmon, lobster, flat oyster, and lumpfish. The project spans five objectives and a period of 3 years, having begun in January 2019.The mission’s two main funders are the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC).
