I graduated with a BSc in Evolutionary Biology from the University of Exeter in 2012. I went on to research the effects on nutrition in sexually selected traits in cockroaches.

I then spent a year working for the Rare Breeds Survival Trust monitoring and promoting rare breed livestock. In 2015 I began my PhD to investigate cattle breeding systems in Sub-Saharan African to improve profitability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. I began by attending courses from the University of Edinburgh’s MSc Animal Breeding and Genetics.
