I have been a PhD student at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies within The University of Edinburgh, UK since March, 2016. Before joining the PhD programme I worked as Livestock Scientist at the Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) and prior to this I obtained my Master’s degree in Animal Science in 2011 at Massey University, New Zealand.

My PhD research is focusing on identifying breeding goals and breeding strategies in smallholder dairy production systems in sub-Saharan Africa. My research interests include designing breeding schemes, animal genetic evaluation and statistical analysis of animal experiments
