Depending on the field of study, there may be a pre-defined PhD project or applicants may need to develop a research idea. Students enrolling on a PhD are subject to University of Edinburgh academic and English language entry requirements. PG - MSc/Dip/Cert/PPD The Masters degree is a recognised postgraduate qualification and is awarded on successful completion of 180 credits of learning. The Certificate phase comprises of 60 credits of learning with the Diploma adding an additional 60 credits to a total of 120 credits. Individual courses can be taken as standalone, credit-bearing study through the Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD) scheme. The MSc programme is structured to allow sequential progression from PPd to Certificate to Diploma to Masters, however students can exit on completion of any of the earlier phases. Students enrolling for any phase of this programme are subject to the University of Edinburgh academic and English language entry requirements as well as standard tuition fees for postgraduate study.
